Honesty & Innocence
My new album, Honesty & Innocence is now available to download on Bandcamp. A lot of work went into this album last year and the beginning of this year, with production of some of the songs being finished while I was enjoying the summer sailing from Norway to Germany. I'm really excited about this one as I believe that we've reached a new level of both songwriting and production.
You Are The Flower
The first single from the album was released to all streaming platforms on 14th November, You Are The Flower, the song from which the album title comes. A truly romantic song with a sparse production adding perfectly to the sentiment, Aeron really showed his talent for knowing exactly what a song needs with the production of this one.
Summer Sailing
We were sailing for three months in the summer, hence a busy time getting the album ready in the spring this year.
We sailed from Finnsnes, right up in the north of Norway, to Stralsund on the German Baltic Sea. Some of the scenery was breathtaking, while sailing through the Lofoten Islands we went into the Trollfjord. No trolls, but the magnificence and purity of nature at its finest!
Sunrises & Sunsets
We started off in the land of the midnight sun but after a few weeks, as we sailed further south, some of the sunrises were glorious. This was as we left Mandal, the southern most town in Norway, to take the leap across the Skagerrak to Denmark.
Olivia ... the spirit of freedom
The little baby is called Olivia and life is now on board, no more houses or apartments. I wrote a diary as we were on our maiden voyage and have started the first draft of my book Olivia ... the spirit of freedom, writing about the highs and lows of an adventure at sea. At times it was absolutely wonderful, other times it was pretty stressful and definitely less than wonderful, but an experience I'm grateful to have. Not everyone appreciates all that living the dream entails but yes, I'm living the dream!
